NOTE: Please read these before registering for the forums.
This is an official forum of the United States Special Army Cadets Program (USSACP 21971). It is intended to facilitate communication between members, supporters, parents and alumni.
It is not a replacement for the duly authorized chain of command.
Usernames
U.S. Special Army Cadets Program personnel will create a username that matches their current USSACP email ID or follows the form of "firstname.middleinitial.lastname". Do not include your rank or
nicknames in your user name.
Parents, supporters & alumni, please select a user name that is keeping with the spirit & intent of this forum.
Avatars
There are a number of avatars available to officers and explorers that correspond to their respective grade. Avatars can be set by clicking User Control Panel (above, under the U.S. Special Army Cadets Program Forum banner), then under Option click Profile and Edit Avatar. Click the Display Gallery
button, and select the specific avatar you want.
Signatures
USSACP personnel will utilize signatures blocks similar to those found on emails sent within the Corps. Signatures may be set under User Control Panel -> Profile -> Edit Signature. Graphics within the signature files will not be used. An example of a properly formatted signature block can be found at the bottom of this message.
User Groups
Individuals will be manually placed into user groups that define access to appropriate restricted areas of the forums based on membership categories or duties. Requests to be added to a user group should be directed to "usarmyexplorers@yahoo.com" or via private message (link below) to the undersigned. We are working on a way to allow certain kinds of access in a more 'self-service' way, but for now we have to grant access on a member-by-member basis.
Anonymity
This is not an anonymous forum. Each participant here must be appropriately identified by either their username or, in the case of non-USSACP personnel their forum signature. Failure to do so, or to attempt to hide behind Internet anonymity here will result in a warning and / or suspension of your account privileges if not corrected.
Decorum
Bottom line up front: This forum is created and maintained by the United States Special Army Cadets Program for purpose of facilitating communication between members of our program and explorers, supporters, parents and Alumni via the Internet. You are in public place, under the scrutiny of the general public. Conduct yourself accordingly.
USSACP Personnel must conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism on this forum. While you're not expected to finish each sentence or paragraph with "Sir!" when addressing an officer, you should certainly ensure that your words and conduct are appropriate and respectful.
There may be times in which it is appropriate for an administrator of the board or a moderator to remove postings or modify postings to comply with these guidelines. In those instances, the original poster will be notified that the posting has been modified (either via a private message or via a notation in the modified post).
The moderators and administrators have the final say on what constitutes etiquette and decorum within this forum.
These ROEs may be modified as necessary from time to time.
